After a brutal 30 days, Wall Street has begun to look up - if even just for a moment - as stocks rally this afternoon about an hour and a half before trading closes, according to major news sources.
Under the current economic conditions, retail reports have been growing increasingly bleak. That isn’t the case, however, with Volcom’s latest numbers, released Thursday, October 30. The company experienced a total revenue increase of 23% to $111.7 million.
The Commerce Department reported the first estimate of third-quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) today, and the results - unsurprisingly - were bleak. The U.S. economy is the weakest it’s been in 28 years.
