OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Freedom Artists is an art based clothing label. Our mission is to provide an environment that allows artists the freedom and independence to create and show case some of their best work. Our background is surfing, skating and snow boarding- this is what we grew up doing and they were all the same in our mind- one big way of life. These sports are artistic and rebellious in nature and are a breeding ground for all types of artists- surfers, skaters, snowboarders, filmmakers, photographers, painters, musicians and writers. This is who we are.
The industry is stale right now as everyone is just too scared to take a risk. I know Pat and Pascal personally and they will definitely bring a rad creative energy to this industry.

Here at Val Surf we have always taken pride in nurturing and helping the growth of small grass roots and developing companies. We also take an extreme amount of pride in being a vendors very first authorized dealer such as Burton, Quiksilver, O’neill, and now a new homegrown company called “Freedom Artists”. Freedom Artists is an LA based clothing company born by friends Pascal Stansfield and Patrick Jensen. Freedom Artists is a company that has reborn surfing on a grass roots level in LA county. To see a local grass roots company on the rise and Val Surf helping it grow involves a great sense of pride and passion. A company developed by surfers for surfers/friends for friends, and available only in “true” surf shops. Amen. Sign Me Up.

We have been carrying Freedom Artist tees and hats for few months now and we have seen huge growth at our Malibu store, they are hitting and exceeding the numbers of the majors! We are bringing the line into all the Becker locations as well as online, we have high hopes for this line going into summer.
