Rome SDS has released its 100 Day Tracker- a digital snowboarding journal where riders can keep track of how they spend their days on the mountain. In addition, the brand is asking users to put together a short edit of 5 minutes or less, showing riders and their friends enjoying their new app. Prizes include 1,000$ cash for first place- so get to filming!

When you’re riding a lot, it’s easy for days, and sometimes seasons, to just sort of blur together. With the 100 Day Tracker, you can record where you rode, how the snow was, the crew you rode with, any good lines you found, or whether you got broken off that day. You can also take and save a photo-of-the-day then share it on Facebook or Twitter!

We aren’t looking for rooftop-to-rooftop gaps, triple 1440’s, or quadruple kink hand rails…though if you have any footage of that feel free to throw it in. We are more excited to see quality riding and proper tricks with a crew that looks like they are having a blast. Remember, snowboarding is about having FUN, especially with your friends, and that’s what we love to see. So what do you need to do?
Spend the 2011/12 season filming; put together a short edit (less than 5 minutes) of your crew snowboarding and submit your work to our panel of judges. We will make a decision based on the following criteria:
1. The quality of filming and editing
2. The effort put into the video
3. Type/Difficulty of tricks
4. Stoke Factor—meaning the video that leaves us wanting to go snowboarding the most!
So, set your sights on becoming the 6th Local GNAR Champion in 2012 and start filming! The snow has begun to fall so it’s never too late to get your crews together, have fun, and try to win some of these Rome SDS prizes…
