TSG joins forces with the Swedish leader in helmet safety technology MIPS to further improve TSG’s award-winning Kraken helmet. The new Kraken+ will feature not only TSG’s FlexTech innovation but also MIPS’ revolutionary MIPS protection system that absorbs damaging rotational forces to the head, creating the world’s safest head protection.
MIPS and TSG have the best helmet technologies in the world: MIPS with its innovative and patented Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS), and TSG with its award-winning FlexTech innovation (a flexible interior for individual head shapes). Imitating the brain’s own protection system
MIPS is a unique protection technology that has been developed by Swedish scientists during the last 15 years to reduce brain injuries. It mimics the protective properties of the human brain. In its basic version, the MIPS system adds a low-friction layer between the outer shell of the helmet and the liner. The outer shell slides on impact, thereby absorbing a great portion of the rotational forces affecting the brain at an angled impact, ensuring maximum protection to the head.
Flexible interior for wearing comfort, adaptability and safety
The Kraken+ features a flexible interior shell. It adapts to not only the size but the entire shape of the head. The FlexTech interior shell fits snug but won‘t cramp or put too much pressure on certain points of the head. Plus, the multi-part shell shows superior impact energy distribution results providing maximum comfort and safety.
