The Art of Flight tour made its way through Colorado this  week. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver hosted Colorado’s first premiere on Tuesday night and the sold out crowd came dressed to the nines to match the swanky setting.

The Art of Flight crew took to Boulder for Colorado’s second night of premieres on Wednesday night. The beautiful Boulderites showed overwhelming support, selling out both shows at the Boulder Theater before the curtains were drawn. Prior to the show, Satellite Boardshop hosted an athlete signing with Travis Rice, Mark Landvik, and Eric Willett. Fans from six to sixty lined the streets, anxious to have a board or a body part signed by the stars of the film.

The star studded premiere brought together some of the film’s most influential players. Before it rolled, Travis Rice thanked a long list of people including filmers, sponsors, girlfriends, moms, nomads, and more who made the iconic movie a reality. Although Boulder was the 13 stop on the Art of Flight tour, the athletes and Brain Farm team created a sense of authenticity and pride as if they were revealing their work for the first time. Boulder seemed to appreciate the love. The crowd roared as the lights dimmed and the first song began, sending a strong current of vibration throughout the theater. The feeling alone gave us all chills, and that was just the intro. Vast landscape, unscathed lines, and monstrous kickers flooded the silver screen as the crowd ‘oohed and awed’ at every opportunity.

The Art of Flight crew headed to Absinthe House in Boulder for the after party. The Brain Farm team was as highly applauded by party goers, speaking volumes to the quality of editing and innovation of the film.
