IASC Announces Skate Summit Schedule; Opens Registration

This year’s IASC Skateboarding Summit will go down April 26-27, 2011 at The Doubletree Hotel in the city of Orange, California. IASC has teamed up with the Board Retailers Association this time around to bring together manufacturers and retailers for a two-day event of educational seminars, and skate time at the Vans Skatepark at the Block. IASC and BRA just announced the official line up of panelists, and registration is now open:

The goal of this summit is to bring together the leaders in skateboarding to focus on innovation in the industry, the future of their business, and of skateboarding as a whole.

Who will Attend the Summit:
Approximately 150 of the top Skateboarding Hardgoods, Softgoods, Footwear Company Owners – CEO’s and Presidents – Heads of Sales and Marketing – General Managers – Sales and Marketing Professionals as well as respected Retailers from across the nation.

10:30 a.m. Managing a Modern Career: Pro Skateboarders and their management teams discuss navigating the maze of opportunities and challenges facing pro athletes throughout a long-term career.

11:45 a.m. Growing Participation: There are multiple approaches to getting more people involved in skateboarding. This panel discussion will highlight those who are moving the needle as they share their perspective on how to grow and sustain participation.
