Volcom has officially gone direct online with the launch of its new eCommerce site, shop.volcom.com, this morning. While the site features Volcom’s full product line, its Stone Age and Snow lines are not available for purchase directly from Volcom and the site directs customers to the closest authorized Volcom dealer that has the specific item in stock.
In another nod to its dealer partners, the site also features a dealer locator as well as a list of logos and links to its surf, skate, and snow affiliates. Becker Surfboards locked in a Volcom themed tab on the home page’s rotating dealer section for the first day and 17th Street Surf Shop was prominently featured on multiple pages, however these spaces revolve amongst key partners as well. The other main links on the home page take you to the V.co-logical and Stone Age lines.
The site is super easy to navigate, sports some good bells and whistles including an easy to use size chart, and, at this time, doesn’t include any sale merchandise.
