Pro skater Bryan Herman is opening Pharmacy skate shop on August 1, in Hollywood, California, the first metropolitan location for the skate shop chain. The partnership will give Herman and Pharmacy equal shares of the business, according to the press release:
“Los Angeles Professional Skateboarder, Bryan Herman, is opening his own skateboard shop in Hollywood, California along with his long-time shop sponsor Pharmacy Boardshop. Bryan has been a part of the Pharmacy Boardshop shop family since he was 13 years old and has been a key component in the success of the Pharmacy brand since they opened in 1997. Unlike many business partnerships in which one side has controlling shares of the business, the arrangement between Bryan and Pharmacy is strictly a 50/50 deal. This business model is the first of many future arrangements Pharmacy plans to make with professional skateboarders in hopes of expanding their brand while giving pro skaters a self-sufficient business of their own.
Bryan’s new shop, which will be the first Pharmacy in a metropolitan city, will be located North of the intersection of Sunset Blvd and N. Cahuenga Blvd, adjacent to the Space 15 Twenty shopping complex. Pharmacy Hollywood will open August 1st 2010 and will be a full service skateboard
shop with shoes and apparel, carrying exclusive and specialty brands from the skateboard world.”
