Mervin Manufacturing is relocating its head offices from Sequim to Seattle in the next three to six months (stay tuned for more on that) and Sales Manager Greg Hughes “has decided to remain in Utah with his family,” according to GM Ryan Hollis. ”We wish him well in future endeavors.” That said, Mervin is currently seeking a new sales manager. Here are the details:
TITLE: Vice President of Sales
LOCATION: Seattle, Washington (based in Seattle, not Sequim)
SALARY: to be discussed with candidates upon interview process
TIMING: ASAP
REPORTS TO: Reports to General Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: Sales reps, CSRs, Warehouse, program managers and others TBD
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Sales growth across all brands and categories.
Retail marketing strategies that enhance the brands and drive sales.
Sales
Develop and manage sales rep/agency structure necessary to sustain scalable growth.
Train global sales rep/agencies/distributors in regards to new category expansion.
Create sales tools (incentives, discounts, free shipping, etc) to ensure new category success.
Evaluate pricing strategies seasonally.
Analyze competitors.
Marketing
Develop retail marketing strategies that enhance the brand and drive sales.
Oversee creation of POP, product catalogs and brochures that directly affect the customer and retailer experiences.
Product
Work with design and production to ensure we are in line with global demand.
Conduct market research studies to ensure product is correctly segmented per brand and per category.
Global Tools
Work closely with Regional General Managers and Purchasing Manager on global buys and sourcing.
Department/Talent
Attract, motivate and retain the best sales and retail marketing employees that will lead our company for growth.
EXPERIENCE: National sales experience in both softgoods and hardgoods as well as retail marketing.
