LEADING THE CHARGE: TransWorld Snow Conference
March 13-16, 2012
at Sun Valley Resort, Idaho

It’s time to mark your calendars for the 17th TransWorld Snow Conference, the capstone of another amazing season (yeah, we’re claiming it), that will provide an opportunity to network and discuss the year that was, the lessons learned, and how we can work together to ensure a bright, snowy future.

Set in a private village with a near private mountain in the backyard, the theme of this year’s event in Sun Valley, Idaho, March 13-16, will focus on two main themes—leadership and creative marketing strategies.

With ample riding time, some of the best sidecountry on the planet, great food, and extracurricular activities, the 2012 TransWorld Snow Conference will raise the already lofty bar it has been setting since 1990, and with attendance capped at 100 brand, retail, and resort executive representatives, the roster will fill up quick.

We look forward to seeing you in Sun Valley, and please let us know if you have any questions.

See you in Sun Valley,

Mike Lewis
Editor in Chief, TransWorld Business

Rallying The Troops

The TransWorld Snow Industry Conference brings together the industry’s top innovators and thinkers to inspire and discuss the biggest issues facing the sport and map its path for success through inspiring discussions and presentations. The ranks include a tight-knit group of CEOs, presidents, GMs, VPs, marketing execs, creative directors, and designers from brands, retailers, and resorts.

Leading From The Front

Following the keynote address on Tuesday night, we will dive into discussions on Wednesday looking at how to get the most out of your staff through solid hiring practices, training, motivation, and incentive programs, followed by an afternoon of discussions led by world-renowned climber, adventurer, author, guide, and speaker Jeff Evans who will share leadership lessons learned guiding a blind climber up Everest and Wounded Warriors up some of the highest peaks in the Himalayas and Kilimanjaro. The day will be capped off with round table discussions to help you fine-tune your executive team’s leadership strategy, vision, and mission.

Thursday’s program will focus on the season’s sales trends, before looking at a new age of guerilla marketing strategies including a keynote address by New Belgium Brewing (think Fat Tire) Creative Director Melyssa Glassman.
