MFM says “we (Sound) are making moves and dropping bombs!!! We’ve been busting ass working hard again to bring you the best product possible, and we’re sure you’re gonna be trippin’ on how good it really is!”

Trent Bush, Partner in Sound sat down with TransWorld and described what is going into making those moves and droping  those bombs. Bush says “to meet this demand, we have refined all of our SOUND System features to make them function better than ever before. There are not a lot of companies doing anything truly different in snowboard specific features designed to function perfectly with your gloves on. This is one of SOUND’s real benefits to discerning snowboarders who care how well their gear works.”

Not only focusing on functionality, Sound is also innovating with its style. “We are definitely helping to lead the trend of colorblocked outerwear and interesting solids, with less all-over prints. When we use prints, we engineer them into the piece with only a few all-over printed pieces in the line, since they are still very good sellers. Along with color we want the look to be long and lean. “Technically, this allows for much better function and a lot less weight, which is just a bonus. We are definitely not tight, but a lot more tailored than some brands,” Bush recognizes.

While the market is uncertain, Sound has not let this effect the product that they make. “We recognize the economy and have tightened up our accessories and streetwear type pieces so we can concentrate more on outerwear… Sound is positioned as a premium brand. So we make premium products that are not always the cheapest however, this season, we have worked very hard with our suppliers and factories to create a line with the same or better fabrics and features as prior seasons, but at new price points to reflect today’s economy.” Bush also adds that: “We will also have a line segment with less Sound System features that will bring the brand in well under the $200 price point for jackets and pants, which is new for this season.”
