Ortovox Transceivers Moves To Utah

Utah’s status as an up-and-coming mecca for outdoor and action sports companies has been bumped another notch as Ortovox USA Inc., one of the top makers of avalanche transceivers, announced it will be locating its new distribution center in the Salt Lake City suburb of West Valley City.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune:

Based in Munich, Ortovox GmbH opened a North American operation in Hopkinton, N.H., 14 years ago. Headquarters will remain in New England, said Ortovox USA CEO Marcus Peterson. But sales volume has reached a point in which “the time was right to move certain operations out West, closer to where the bulk of our products are being sold and used.
