The etnies Team was in Kansas City for GSD this year, and held a benefit event at Penn Valley Skatepark which drew more than 600 local skaters throughout the day. Team riders Mikey Taylor, Devine Calloway, Jose Rojo, Kyle Leeper, Davis Torgerson and Kansas City’s own Sean Malto were all present to help judge the Red Bull “Best Trick” contest. A benefit raffle for complete skateboards raised $3,300 toward new lights for Penn Valley Skatepark. Here’s some photos from the event and captions, provided by etnies:

Addie Toelkes drove all the way from Lawrence to celebrate the holiday with etnies in Kansas City, and no one watching will forget his frontside flip over the handrail on the 8 stair. The stand out of all the tricks thrown down was Dylan Agular’s kickflip front tail to fakie up the euro gap – he won a well-deserved $250 for overall best trick.

The line at the etnies RV for free BBQ, $2 Penn Valley Skatepark benefit raffle tickets and $10 etnies Down For KC t-shirts that were sold with all proceeds going to benefit the skatepark was long all day.
