Editors Note: TransWorld Business loves to hear from the industry when it comes to controversial topics and our goal is to continue to foster the community of readers you’ve helped us build on our site. While we’ve enjoyed many of the well thought out rebuttals and even the occasional snarky remark from anonymous posters, the staff has made an executive decision to move to a required registration comment policy. To continue posting comments, all you need is a working email address. We’d like to take this opportunity to encourage you to register your username (it will only take a few seconds) and please take a look at our guidelines before posting your next comment.

Come on TWBiz, don’t puss out! Why you got to be so politically correct. The anonymous comments are healthy for our industry, since most of the time when people get called out it straight up the truth and they deserve it. Did Bob Mcknight get bummed on you guys since he’s been slammed on here so much lately? Did he threaten to pull the almighty advertising dollars from the TW pubs?

I think he has bigger things to worry about?

Taking the easy way out or censorship is not our play by any means. The goal of these posts is to get a healthy discussion going from both sides. For the most part, that’s how they play out. However, many of these discussions wind up with the lowest common denominator inserting opinions that drop the barometer of intelligence like an avalanche engulfing the power of the line. People that hide behind anonymity throw bottle rockets in the fire, and shit in the soup, and that gets the topic off track faster than powder on a contest day.
Let’s pony up. If you wish, you’re still semi-anonymous, but the people getting way out of line, can’t sabotage from 100 angles with with off base slurs and keep the douche bags pumping enough bile to keep their titanically irate statements from derailing the conversation.

Let’s just wait and see what DUN has to say about all this , that be should be the definative word for sure . His insights and politically unbiased yet profound comments are the Robert Frost of his generation.
