Press Release

Seattle, Wash. (November 23, 2008) — The Ride nation got a double shot of awesomeness this week with the addition of two infamous reps to the family.  Bill Markham, formerly Ride’s Rocky Mountain rep, will sell the dream in SoCal starting December 17th and Jim Linnberg will canvas the northern reaches of the state.

Markham, based in Oceanside, CA., has practiced the craft for more than 18 years, most recently as the director of sales for DC Snow. After ten years away from the Ride brand, it’s safe to say both Ride and Markham are stoked to be working together again. “Ride commands respect in the industry,” Markham says. “The brand is renowned for its authenticity, quality and consistent innovation. It’s good to be back with the team.”

Linnberg, out of San Francisco, has been running with Ride for a month already.  He has worked in the action sports industry for seven years and currently represents other key action related brands. “Ride has a cult following,” he says. “Their athletes are icons and their technologies like Slimewalls, aluminum bindings, and ContraBand drive the industry.”

U.S. Sales Manager for Ride, Greg Keeling, is more than happy to have Jim and Bill on the team.  “Both have the experience and the drive to deliver the world class service that Ride dealers in California have come to expect,” Keeling says.  “These guys have high expectations for the Ride brand and I am confident that our retailers will be well served.”

California based dealers looking to stock up on the latest Ride snowboards, boots, bindings and apparel can contact Markham at bill.genome@gmail.com; and may reach Linnberg at jlinnberg@hotmail.com.
