Icon X’s Gubei Store to Open Nov. 21 in Shanghei

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Shanghai, November 17, 2008. Icon X will open its doors at its newest location in Shanghai’s Gubei district Friday, November 21st. The fourth Icon X store to open in Shanghai it is also the city’s largest location.

The grand opening party will feature a mini-ramp jam session with Icon X’s own portable mini-ramp. The party will also premier the latest Forum snowboarding movie “Forum or Against Em” and Fallen’s latest skateboarding flick “Ride the Sky”. Free beer will be available; raffle prizes will be given away to those in attendance.

Located directly off of the Yan’an highway, by Hongxu Lu, the Gubei store will be large enough to house Icon X’s extensive line of skateboards, but also surf and snow boards and accessories. The complete Burton 2009 winter line, an extensive line of Santa Cruz surfboards, Da Kine accessories and Sector 9 longboard skateboards will be some of the featured products at the new location.

The mini-ramp jam will start at 4pm and the movie premier will begin at 8pm. The Gubei shop will also feature the Icon Skatepark – a covered rooftop park, scheduled to open in early 2009.
