La Jolla Group Appoints Tunia Kaawa as VP of Sourcing, Production

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Irvine, CA (October 8, 2008) – La Jolla Group today announced that it has appointed Tunia Kaawa as its new Vice President of Sourcing and Production. Kaawa will report to Toby Bost, Chief Executive Officer, and will be based out of the La Jolla Group offices in Irvine, California. Kaawa’s role reflects the company’s commitment to foster and grow all of the La Jolla Group brands that include O’Neill Clothing, Lost Clothing, Metal Mulisha and Rusty. In this newly created position, Kaawa will lead the La Jolla Group’s sourcing and production for all four brands.

Prior to her new role, Kaawa spent the last 20 years “growing up” within the action sports industry. In her most recent position, Kaawa was the of Senior Vice-President of Production for Quiksilver in Huntington Beach, CA. “I am thrilled to join the La Jolla Group’s management team and am confident that with all of our collective experiences, we will catapult our brands to the forefront of the action sports industry,” said Kaawa. “The words “quicker, faster, better” represents just the beginning of the core values that will form the foundation of the sourcing and production departments.
