If La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas, California got a dollar for every surfer that has cracked open a tall boy and watched a surf video sitting in its seats over the years, then it’d be making it rain right now. Especially after last night, when DC premiered its new surf vid, Dude Cruise to a capacity crowd of surfers, SoCal scenesters, lovely ladies, and, yes, dudes.

the film is the first effort from Irons Brothers Productions, and it’s pretty damn funny. Aside from retarded air-reverses and fin chucks from Bruce Irons, Dane Reynolds, and Ry Craike there is some hilarity woven into the mix as well. Bruce flips a rental trunk into the ocean while piss drunk, throws temper-tantrums while playing ping-pong piss drunk, etc, etc.

Surf film guru Matt Beauchesne (shown above left) teamed up with the Irons Bros and badass water videographer/ Captain Keno’s disco dance star Darren Crawford (shown above right) on this project, and it’s worth a watch for sure.

These are some of the lovely ladies mentioned earlier. Monique and Andrezza are both designers and they are both Brazilian. Monique designs sandals for Volcom and Andrezza designs bikinis for Reef.

Ryan Hargraves (left) was there. Ryan is a San Diego lifeguard during the summer and a boatman in Samoa during the winter. He knows just about everyone that lives in Encinitas. He was also part of the winning team at this year’s Neptune 500. He did it in a speedo, on a tandem bike, and with water polo headgear on…so click on that link to get a visual! James Sullivan was the online editor for Future Snowboard mag. He is often seen in the mix in Encintas as well.
