OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - LOS ANGELES, Calif., Sept 3, 2008 – Two of the winners from the Second Annual S3 Supergirl Jam will appear on FUEL TV’s “The Daily Habit” this Thursday, September 4 at 6:00 p.m. PT (9:00 p.m. ET) with special musical guest Liars.  Lauren Perkins and Laurie Currier will join host Pat Parnell to discuss their experience in Huntington Beach at the S3 Supergirl Jam, how they’ve been celebrating their wins, and reveal their future endeavors. The S3 Supergirl Jam, a three day all-female action sports event, featured top professional and up-and-coming athletes in surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and inline skating.

Winner of the Skateboard Street Contest, 19-year-old Perkins began skating at the age of 7 and is quickly becoming one of the best female skaters out there. A self-taught champion, Perkins grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif., making this victory even more glorious with all of her family and friends there to watch. Her most recent project was filming a part in the upcoming Oakley team video, scheduled to be released this October, 2008.

Currier, 23, led the competition with the award for Best Trick and first place in the Snowboard Rail Jam. A dual-resident in both Wrightwood and Lake Tahoe, Calif., Currier is unexpectedly new to the sport of snowboarding. She began snowboarding during her senior year of high school at age 17. Currently Currier is in Australia where she is competing in the Australian Open and hopes to stick around for a few extra weeks afterward to explore the area.

The show will re-air later that evening at 9:00 p.m. PT (12:00 a.m. ET) and again on Friday, September 5 at 5:30 a.m. PT (8:30 a.m. ET) and 12:00 p.m. PT (3:00 p.m. ET).  (Viewers can check local listings as airtimes may vary by location.)
