Body Glove Timepieces
“Body Glove has expanded its product line with an exciting new range of functional and fashion watches for both men and women. All of these watches capture the unique Body Glove style while maintaining the brand’s quest for performance. In keeping with Body Glove’s core product – the wetsuit - these watches were created for water environments and water-related sports like surfing, wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing, scuba diving and water skiing. The new Body Glove timepieces are ideal for chillin’ on dry land or in the water – worn as a participant or a spectator! All models are water resistant from 100 to 300 meters!” (Photo: Mike Cohen, Body Glove watch stylist and designer)
Casio “G-Shock”
“In 1983, Casio launched the first-ever G-Shock watch. A shock-resistant structure that overturned conventional thinking about watches was realized through innovative principals: a hollow-structured case, all-directional protective covering and cushioning materials to protect the critical parts. In addition to G-Shock’s tough design and unique technology, other characteristics, including the imaginative use of color, have made G-Shock a fashion accessory icon of its time. Now in 2008, carrying on the toughness of spirit and uncompromising passion, Casio has shocked the world with their 25th anniversary celebration of the brand that fused cutting-edge technology within a fashionable accessory that is still the must-have of today.” (Photo: Mr. Shigernori Itoh, Vice President, Timepiece Division)
Freestyle
“2008 has marked the Return of the Raddest Watch Ever and the remainder of the year will get even radder with 12 fresh Shark colors on the horizon. Little known fact, all you need is a screwdriver and a butter knife to start trading shark parts. That’s right, the bezel, band, case, and looper are all interchangeable. Dreaming of pow has birthed the Freestyle Nomad, finally a triple sensor (Altimeter-Barometer-Compass) that has a look you can wear beyond the mountain. Image, style and function don’t have to cost the consumer an arm and a leg anymore. Freestyle…ride ‘em till death.” (Photo: Chad LaBass, Marketing Director)
Nixon
“We’ve incorporated a strong, simplistic approach to the line resulting in products that reflect our focus on the Nixon team, quality craftsmanship, global fashion and speculations of the future.” (Photo: Your friendly Nixon customer service representative)
Oakley
“Oakley is recognized worldwide as a premium eyewear brand, and the company has spent the last decade applying the same level of quality, precision and creativity to achieving its well-earned authenticity in
wristwatch design. Oakley timekeeping inventions emphasize the active lifestyle while redefining the premium end of the market with innovative and unrivaled designs made in the finest traditions of Swiss watchmaking. Aesthetics reflect current industry trends including the integration of larger dial faces and bolder color palettes, as well as the optimization of comfort and ergonomics with sculptural rubber straps
that make an art of timekeeping for active lifestyles.”
Quiksilver
“Quiksilver watches are designed to tell more than just time. Standing out with unique color pops, materials and details, our watches tell everyone you’ve just arrived. For the Holiday season, new styles make a statement in bright red, gold and black hues, classic gold and silver combinations, unexpected pops of muted greens, yellows, lilacs and grays and pairings of Quiksilver’s signature colors: black, red and silver. Drawing inspiration from 80s techno gadgets, vintage timepieces and high-tech devices, the Holiday collection is more about form than just function, and as much classic as it is timeless.” (Photo: Justin Rutkay, So Cal Sales Rep, watches and eyewear)
Rip Curl
“Rip Curl’s watch line is born with the true SEARCHER in mind. While tide will remain the heartbeat of the Rip Curl watch business, we will always push the limits to make sure we lead in technology and innovation. The perfect storm of fashion and function, our non-tide watches are inspired by the elements of a surfer’s everyday life. From work to play and everything in-between, our line is about our lifestyle. Every Rip Curl watch is depth rated to a minimum of 330 feet, and we only use top quality materials to ensure we maintain our industry leading standards.” (Photo: Brian Bosson, Technical Product Manager)
Roxy
“Roxy Holiday 08 timepieces have been inspired by four major trends of the season, accounting for a variety of colors shapes and details. The first inspiration, ‘Black Diamonds’, conjures up the glamorous feeling of old Hollywood by focusing on the purity of crystal detailing against a lush, black backdrop. Similarly, our ‘ISO 4217’ trend updates grey with burnished brass metals and touches of rose. Contrasting the darker vibes is our “Citron Royal” inspiration, which combines vibrant orange and purples. Our geometric ‘Cubiques’ trend also plays a role in our collection by simplifying natural forms into cylinders, spheres and cones.” (Photo: Lisa Stemmler)
Swatch
“SWATCH has unveiled a fresh and colourfully stylish collection of fashionable watches for the Fall Winter 2008 season. Always on the cutting edge of cool, Switzerland’s most famous fashion watch and jewelery makers have given their designers free rein to play with the latest materials, colours, shapes and styles. Using materials such as silicone, plexi, aluminium and PVD steel, the new SWATCH Fall Winter Collection takes up the most exciting trends from the streets and runways of the world’s fashion capitals, adding a touch of SWATCH’s characteristic joie-de-vivre. Six stylish families make up the newest collection.” (Photo: Klaus Peter Mager, Marketing International Head of PR & Events)
Vestal
“Vestal has focused in on an important time in the history of the music that influences us: 1960’s soul. Vestal has chosen to focus on this important time because through motivation fueled by American soul music, British youth established the culture of youth for the first time, including their own values and ideals, changing the face of culture worldwide. Vestal collections are watches, softgoods & accessories that fine-tune style and expression for the musically inspired individual. Established in 1997, Vestal is marketed and branded through our friends, musicians, artists, and athletes who are immersed within music culture. www.vestalwatch.com” (Photo: Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes, Featured Artist)
