OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - With the economy going south, the war still raging, and the prospect of change looking bleak, the DVS skate team has decided to jump ship and head to Canada. And why not? Awesome skate spots, beautiful scenery, and free healthcare make the great white north a perfect alternative to America. Still not convinced? Here’s what Daewon Song has to say about our friendly neighbors to the north.

“Canada has beautiful places, beautiful people, and beautiful pizza,” says Daewon. “I especially like Canadian bacon on my pizza.”

“There’s a ton of good skaters there too,” he says. “Some of the best skaters out right now are from Canada. It’s crazy that they can get so good so fast. I’m really looking forward to skating with the locals there.”

DVS’ “Eh” To Z Tour will include skaters Daewon Song, Jeron Wilson, Jereme Rogers, Torey Pudwill, Guru Khalsa, Mike McDermott, Russ Milligan, and Bryan Wherry. These dudes are all set to shred some of the best cities in Eastern Canada including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City. Check the flyer for demo dates. See ya in Canada, eh!

I took my son and his friend to see the DVS Team in Markham Ontario yesterday. They were supposed to appear at the Skate Park and do a demo at 2:00 p.m. We were there from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. and they never showed. The boys were very disappointed. We only then found out that they were across the street at the mall at the West 49 Store signing autographs and were going to head over to the park then. The rain started pouring down so they never did show for the demo. We went over to the Mall but they were long gone. Both boys were very diappointed as they were really hoping to see pros perform. I only wonder why someone did not just walk across the street from the Mall and tell all the people who were waiting at the skatepark that the team was in the Mall? Very poorly organized. Very disappointing for avid skateboard fans.
