OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE - Jacksonville Beach, FL—-July 1, 2008—-Global Wave Ventures announced today that next weekend’s Boards & Waves Expo on July 12 & 13, 2008 will be full of surfboard, blank, fin, accessory, and surf art exhibitors.  The two-day “consumer expo for surfers” will be held at the newly-remodeled Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center on the beach.

Shaping demonstrations, surfboard painting & art by Drew Brophy, the Young Guns of Foam featuring today’s up-and-coming shapers, seminars with surfboard shapers and Surfline’s Mike Watson, beach- and ocean-inspired artwork, a vintage surfboard collection, free product giveaways, raffle drawings for surfboards, and more will highlight this Expo open to the public. “The Boards & Waves Expo will allow consumers the unique opportunity to talk face-to-face with over 50 of the industry’s top shapers, fin designers, foam & accessory manufacturers, local surf retailers, pro & amateur surfers, and more in a fun, friendly, and informative environment”, says Dave Seehafer, Expo organizer and action sports industry veteran.

Some of the exhibitors include Rusty Surfboards, Firewire Surfboards, Ricky Carroll Surfboards, Viking Surfboards, Orion Surfboards, Wooster Surfboards, Madden Surfboards, FCS, Ice9 Foamworks, Rainbow Fins, and more.  An “after Expo” party will take place Saturday and Sunday nites at the Ocean Deck.
