Dakine, Gallery Crew, $40, dakine.com. A relative newcomer to the first-layer bix, DaKine is not wasting any time. Its line includes several heavy-, mid-, and lightweight pieces, several of which sport fashionable prints and cuts, But there's a lot to be said for a simple mid-weight top, and the Gallery Crew uses polyester double knit to be warm without the bulk. It has an Aegis Microbe Shield anti-bacterial fabric treatment to keep out the funk, and it's all put together in a fancy print that's girly without being too over the top.
