Volcom Expected to Announce First Quarter Report April 30

According to a story posted on MSN Money: Volcom, Inc. VLCM announced April 17 it expects to announce its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2008 on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Volcom plans to issue a news release that day at approximately 4:00 p.m. ET, immediately following the closing of regular stock market trading hours. Volcom management also will host a conference call at approximately 4:30 p.m. ET to review the results.
The conference call will be available to interested parties through a live audio Internet broadcast at www.volcom.com. Volcom intends to utilize this webcast event to discuss financially oriented goals and objectives and to disclose material company and industry-based topics in an open manner. The company does not plan to report or comment on its progress during the current fiscal quarter.
For those who are not available to listen to the live broadcast, the call will be archived for one year on the Volcom Web site.
FUEL TV To Run First Airing of Big Bear Open April 29, 2008

The Big Bear Open, from March 8-9, 2008, featured some of the best amateurs and professionals competing in halfpipe and slopestyle competition at Big Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake California. The schedule of airings for the third and final Opens event, (Mount Snow Open, VT) will be coming soon.
Big Bear Open highlights include: Video of the groundbreaking “jam session” format where amateur skiers got to ski in a relaxed environment with top freeskiers in the world, including 16-year old rising star Bobby Brown, a fourth place finisher at the North American Open, and X Game athlete Taylor Felton. Windells Gears Up for Summer 2008

Jason Legge, a pro snowboarder for Rossignol, Smith, Vans, Dakine, Atmosphere and Copper, has been promoted to Windells Head Digger. Jason plans to build some of the largest jumps Mt. Hood has seen to date. With Mack Dawg Productions(MPD) and others coming to film Sessions 1 and 2, you will without a doubt, see some amazing riding. Skiing
Austin Stevens is the owner of Saga Outerwear, a grass roots freeski clothing company. He will be head of the freeski program at Windells this summer. We are stoked Austin joined the Windells family this year. Austin brings an enormous amount of knowledge to Windells Ski Program and has been bringing many new improved changes to the already progressive program. Austin has been hard at work putting together one of the best coaching rosters to date: Tanner Hall, Pep Fujas, Chris Benchentler, Mike Hornbeck, Tom Wallisch, Tim Durtschi, Liam Downey, Willey Miller, Sean Field, Sammy Carlson, Phil Balanger and many more.
Skateboarding
Windells is excited to have Jamie Weller back as the Director of Skateboarding. This winter, Jamie has been building urban style features throughout the campus, adding to the already amazing indoor skate park and 6,000 square feet of concrete to the campus. Silas Baxter-Neal was skating 4/20/08 and calls BOB, “The best indoor skateparkark” in the Northwest! Board Retailers Association and 3point5 Launch Online Retail-Focused Training

“Access to standardized yet engaging employee training covering sales floor basics, product fundamentals and vendor specific training - as well as real-time tracking of employee progress by management - is long overdue,” Roberts said. “It’s going to be very well received by board sport retailers.”
