Earth Day at Bob’s
To celebrate Earth Day, the crew at Ipath did their part by hosting a community cleanup, complete with matching tee shirts. Afterward they headed out to Bob Burnquist’s house to relax, eat burritos, tour the ridiculous ramps, and discuss other earthy endeavors. Transworld tagged along to discover new ways to hurt ourselves. We even carpooled!

Good work guys!

The view from inside the quarterpipe section of the mega ramp. Chipotle provided burritos for the crew, and Sambazon was handing out delicious acai (which I found out is pronounced “ah-sigh-eeee”) energy drinks.

That’s the landing of the mega ramp, not the roll in. I wasn’t feeling gnar enough to climb up.

All the scaffolding around the mega ramp reminded me of the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland.

What you can’t see in this photo is all the gashes in that green piece of wood from people who haven’t cleared that gap. Harsh.

Transworld SKATE’s Blair Alley and Biz’s Adam Sullivan assess the consequences of bailing.

Looking up to the roll in. Seriously ridiculous.

Not sure how much faith I would put in these “safety nets.”

SKATE’s Blair Alley and Transworld Surf editor Chris Cote start the long hike up. The ramp is so steep that even walking around on it was sketchy. Hey Bob, where can we hire a sherpa?

I peed my pants just a little before taking this shot.

Blair Alley: “What do you think would happen if I just shoved you off the edge right now?”
Chris Cote: “Dude, that’s not even fucking funny!”
Adam Sullivan: “I think I just felt this whole platform move.”

Sullivan takes a crack at the quarterpipe.

Transworld alum Lee Crane was getting rad on the ramp too.

Just another boring day hanging around the backyard.

Fuel TV was on hand to snag an interview.

Ipath marketing dude Tim Swart.

Eventually we cruised over to check out the other ramps, which were equally impressive.
