Last night at Hobie’s Laguna Beach store on Forrest Avenue more than a hundred friends, family, and industry executives came out in support of the Action Sports Environmental Coalition’s first Green Room—a section of the store dedicated solely to natural, environmentally friendly products. La Sirena Grill supplied food, beverage tasting were supplied by Guayaki and Adina, and Ray Barbee supplied smooth tunes.
Here’s a photo gallery and recap from AESC’s Kiwi Gullixson.
“Brands and customers intermingled, surrounded by the eco-conscious buzz. Sandy Swartzenbach & Linda Stegman (Quiksilver) chatted with Jeff Booth (billabong) about opportunity for growth in natural products. Jack Singh and Frank Scura frivously discusses opportunity for ASEC retail members and counter sales of their price point organic food bars. Ryan Kingman (element) with his daughter and Jason Steris (Volcom) were seen amongst the crowd. Frank Scura’s sister, Mary Soloman and husband Danny took many photos, very proud of their little brother. In fact, many friends family attended, both of ASEC and Hobie. In an awards ceremony from ASEC to Jake and Mark, Frank gave praise for being so supportive and the first official ASEC retail green room. Presented with a handmade Jesse Miller framed art piece and thank you, Jake thanked his store team, the brands, the community, and the ASEC team for helping make a 7 year dream become reality. With 2 more Green Rooms planned, this summer will be busy for ASEC and Hobie.”
