The Sheckler Foundation Hosts The 6th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament
Under a beaming, cloudless sky, the sixth annual Ryan Sheckler Golf Tournament went off without a hinge at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California Monday. A heavy roster of athletes, celebrities, and action sport industry moguls gathered to raise money for The Sheckler Foundation, and the “Be The Change” initiative. Danny Masterson, Wilmer Valderrama, Chris McDonald (aka. Happy Gilmore’s Shooter McGavin ), Randy Wayne, James Driscoll, Stephen Bishop, Kelly Slater, Travis Pastrana, Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, Sean Malto, Ryan DeCenzo, Alex Midler, and Ian Walsh, were among the who’s who of attendees.
The day was an outpouring of love and support for The Sheckler Foundation’s efforts. The foundation focuses on giving back to the community through pediatric causes, injured action sports athletes, and developing areas, and has been growing stronger for more than five years. The tournament is one of their largest fundraising events. The influential impact the foundation has on the community was obvious by the overwhelming response from the attendees at the tournament.
“It’s truly an honor and a blessing to work with such amazing people and witness how much they support our foundation. The golf tournament has raised over $225,000 and we look forward to helping more people ‘Be the Change,’” says Sheckler Foundation CEO and supermom, Gretchen Sheckler-Hachee.
