In the latest news of sponsorship shuffles from Burton’s round of global rider cuts this Fall, David Carrier-Porcheron, better known as DCP, has landed on The North Face, which although it may not be better known as, is aka TNF.
Here’s details from the press release:
“Change is good and very exciting,” said DCP. “It is a perfect alignment to work with a company that focuses its products on what snowboard athletes need and demand. I will be working alongside The North Face’s RD&D teams to help develop and create advanced products and collections.”
DCP has been snowboarding for more than 18 years. He has starred in films by Kingpin, Treetop, The Gathering Collective and Mack Dawg Productions. In addition DCP has been featured on the Weather Channel’s popular show, “Epic Conditions.” Though filming is his primary focus, DCP still enjoys competition. He took third place in the 2008 Quicksilver Natural Selection: All Mountain Invitational at Jackson Hole.

Glad to see DCP found an outerwear sponsor. TNF is a great fit sor him. He is such a rad and humble dude, I’m sure they will support him much better than Burton did.

phfffff, I would imagine that release excerpt was pulled straight from a “TNF” release? They spelled “Quicksilver” wrong. Way to look core guys!
On another note however, I know that TNF has treated DCP’s wife Megan very well, and he deserves the same. And, their gear is the shizz–the fashion factor finally seems to be catching up w the tech. DCP is a great guy, congrats!
