What are the three biggest trends you see shaping the market and what are you doing to meet them?
For helmets I think the biggest trends are always low profile shape, good styling and of course a good fit for the customer.
For the upcoming season, what is your brand doing to differentiate itself?
We are bringing out some really cool prints again this season and offering more unique colors than the other brands.
What new technologies are you introducing to your line?
We are bringing out a new helmet that has multisport certification.
From your perspective, what features or qualities do customers value the most when selecting helmets?
Helmets are very personal so number one is fit and comfort. Next of course is the look and styling of the helmet, people need to identify with their helmet as it’s on their head and very much a part of their entire image.
What trends do you anticipate in the realm of graphics, themes, and colors?
We have a full spectrum of colors and prints from more loud wild prints to the staple solid colors. Last year we added the soft touch finish to our matte colored helmets and this scratch resistant finish has been really popular.
What trends have you detected with regards to sale volumes?
We get pretty good volume across our entire line. Some retailers stick to the safety colors and go deep on those while other retailers see Sandbox as a standout and look to us to provide the more unique colors and prints for their helmet offering.
