Utah Offers $2.66 Million Grant To Keep OR In Salt Lake

According to the Salt Lake Tribunethe state of Utah has given Visit Salt Lake a $2.66 million grant to offset costs in building a large exhibitor tent to house the expanding show that has outgrown the city’s Salt Palace convention center and keep the show in the Beehive state through at least 2016.

The organization will present the package to Nielsen, who owns OR, as part of Utah’s ongoing negotiations to keep the show in the state. OR has been shopping around the idea of moving locations since last April.
