Olloclip Founder Patrick O’Neill stopped by TransWorld headquarters just before the holidays to explain the three-in-one lens for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that allows you to take high quality photos and videos. The lens, which is small enough to fit in your pocket, has three settings: wide angle, fish-eye, and macro—which is a close-up setting for zooming in on smaller objects with incredible detail.
TransWorld Business took the Olloclip through its paces around the TW office and skatepark, while gaining insight on the new company from O’Neill. With main offices in Huntington Beach, California, and a 40-person staff in its warehouse where the product is made entirely in the U.S., the company has been growing at a steady rate after getting picked up by top electronic retailer Apple. Pro skater Tony Hawk also showed an early interest in the product, and as Olloclip gains momentum, O’Neill and his crew are finding that the OlloClip fills a perfect product void in the skate video arena. Stay tuned for more on Olloclip in the near future.
