Quiksilver Opens Mountain Concept Stores In Park City And Vail

A look inside one of Quiksilver’s new mountain concept stores, officially open in both Vail and Park City.

Quiksilver has debuted newly designed mountain concept stores in Vail, Colorado and Park City, Utah with the aim of emphasizing its winter offerings of snow and technical apparel collections. The new spaces in Vail and Park City officially opened to the public on November 16th and November 19th, respectively.

As can be seen in the photo above, the aesthetic of the mountain retail concept reflects the look of a modern log cabin, complete with wood floors and fixtures and earth-toned furniture. According to a press release issued by Quiksilver, photos of Quiksilver and Roxy team riders are adorned on the walls to reinforce the brands’ link to snow sports, and the design and apparel stock of the stores will be targeted towards the specific type of consumer that hits the shops in Vail and Park City.

“We’re very excited to open the 12/13 winter season with our new mountain concept store in selected North American resort locations,” said Clark Gundlach, Senior Vice President and GM of Quiksilver’s Wintersports Division. “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase a much wider selection of our technical snow products, introduce our new technical apparel product line, and keep Quiksilver true to its roots in snow.”

The launch of the mountain concept stores are part of Quiksilver’s retail overhaul in an effort to play to the brand’s strengths and reconnect with the aesthetic and culture that they have created over the decades. Quiksilver and Roxy stores across the country will debut updated designs and layouts over the next two years.
